From the primitive man drilling wood to make fire to the bright lights at night, light provides an indispensable energy for the development of human beings, but today's light pollution is caused by the use of various lights, so what should we do in our life? Woolen cloth?

Many people have realized the harm of outdoor light pollution, but the problem of light pollution in the indoor environment is often not paid enough attention. In fact, improper indoor lighting design will also cause light pollution to a certain extent, affecting the life and health of occupants.

There are many reasons for indoor light pollution, but what are the reasons from the perspective of lighting design? In this regard, we asked Ren Jian, the chief designer of Beijing Zhimei Lighting Design Co., Ltd. He said: "At present, many consumers have misunderstandings about interior lighting design, which are mainly manifested in: too many lightings, too bright or dark lights, and complex colors. These problems can be avoided in lighting design.”

Many consumers use a lot of lighting in order to pursue decorative effects. In fact, the budget of general lighting decoration should be within 5% of the total project cost budget. Excessive lighting decoration will not only make the occupants' eyes tired and reduce their vision, but also cause serious damage to the cornea and iris of the human eye. People experience dizziness, fatigue and other symptoms similar to neurasthenia. Excessive bright or dim lighting will cause occupants to suffer from visual fatigue or decreased vision and increase the incidence of cataracts. There are also many consumers who like to design the lights to be colorful. In fact, these colorful lights, in addition to harming eyesight, also interfere with the function of the central nervous system of the brain.

Indoor lighting "light pollution" should not be underestimated, what can be done to avoid its adverse effects on health? In this regard, lighting design experts have given several suggestions:

First, when choosing lamps and lanterns, you should choose those lamps with high color rendering, high frequency flicker, and stable performance. Such as fluorescent lamps equipped with electronic ballasts, LEDs, etc. High color rendering, mild light, no halo, no aperture lamps, can ensure the authenticity and comfort of seeing objects; high-frequency flash lamps can reduce eye fatigue; stable performance lamps can make the power supply efficient , long life, complete protection, greatly increasing the overall stability.

Second, on the premise of ensuring normal lighting, light pollution can be reduced by cleverly setting the position of lamps. For example, concealed installation of lamps to avoid exposing highlights. In addition, choosing lamps with anti-glare measures can also greatly reduce light pollution caused by glare.

Third, the method of indirect lighting is appropriately used, for example, using the ceiling to reflect the light, the light is uniform and comfortable. Indirect lighting is more suitable for places with suspended or light-colored ceilings and high requirements for lighting uniformity.

Of course, there are many methods and techniques to avoid light pollution. Here are just a few directional suggestions. More detailed applications still need to be explored and summarized.
